FORT HOOD (AP) — A judge says a report shows that an Army psychiatrist charged in the deadly 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage has the mental capacity to represent himself at his murder trial.
But the judge says she wants Maj. Nidal Hasan to have a physical exam before she decides on his request to represent himself.
At a pretrial hearing Wednesday, Hasan didn’t say why he wants to cut ties with his attorneys.
